This is where it all happens. Early mornings, dusty boots, horses waiting at the gate, and the steady rhythm of a working yard. Life here isn’t polished - and that’s the point. It’s hands-on, a little chaotic at times, and filled with the kind of moments that remind you why you love horses in the first place. Whether you’re riding, grooming, or just spending time in the yard, you become part of something real - a place built on good horses, good people, and days well spent outdoor.
At Bay Riding Club, the yard is where you learn, grow, and become part of something that feels like home.
At Bay Riding Club, it’s never just about the lesson — it’s about the whole experience. The time spent at the yard, the horses you get to know, and the quiet confidence that builds along the way.
Lessons are kept small (maximum of 4 riders), which means you won’t get lost in the crowd. Whether you’re 5 years old and meeting a pony for the first time, or a “rusty returner” finding your way back into the saddle, we meet you exactly where you are - and help you grow from there, at your pace and in your own way.
There’s no pressure to be perfect here. Progress looks different for everyone, and we’re big believers in building confidence first — because that’s where everything else starts to fall into place. We focus on creating riders who are not just capable, but kind — riders who understand their horses, communicate clearly, and enjoy building a real partnership with them. Because good riding comes from good horsemanship.

As your confidence grows, you’ll have the opportunity to progress through the Bay Riding Club (BRC) Rider's Collective - a structured way to build your skills over time. Each level focuses on practical riding ability, horse care, and overall confidence in the yard. From mastering the basics to becoming more independent in the saddle, you’ll work through real skills at your own pace. As you complete each stage, you’ll receive a Bay Riding Certificate, recognising your progress and the time you’ve put in. It’s something to work towards, celebrate, and build on as you continue your riding journey.
Want to take your riding to the next level?
Pony Camp is where riding becomes more than just a lesson - it’s a full day at the yard. Kids spend time learning how to care for their ponies, ride, and be part of everyday yard life. From grooming and tacking up to riding sessions and plenty of time spent with the ponies, it’s all about building confidence while having fun.
One of the highlights is our “Own Your Own Pony” Day, where each child is paired with a pony for the day. They’ll take responsibility for caring for their pony, getting them ready, and riding - just like having a pony of their own.
It’s hands-on, a little bit busy, and always full of laughter - the kind of experience that keeps them coming back.
